This is a social disorder that is somewhat like Autism. Individuals with Asperger Syndrome tend to get really focused on one or a few things and those things become that persons entire world. They often have problems socializing with others because their behavior is seen as not appropriate in social situations. Some times their motor skills are affected as well.
My question now is does anyone have any advice to offer when dealing with a child that has this disorder? What would be some good activities to plan for a child with Asperger Syndrome? Any thoughts on how to get other children to understand the issue? I would appreciate any stories or advice you could share.
