I have a relative that was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder years ago but since then they have taken a very organic standpoint with what they put in their body, which I respect but this means they have stopped taking their prescribed medications.

They seemed alright at first but as time has moved on they have turned into a neurotic mess! Mood shifts, anger and over the top dramatics with every little thing. It's a stressful mess does anyone have any words of wisdom?

This DID is a rare disorder as i know. There is no specific treatment for this DID.Consulting the psychiatric only will help this.Don't change your Psychiatric go on with a single good psychiatric. This is not an easy case to analyse what the patient want to be cleared. It needs a deep analysis. So keep his pace with a single psychiatric. It takes time to recover depends on his symptoms.

Thanks for the advice. I am not sure how this is going to go because the disorder itself makes a person act highly illogical. Therefore approaching them from a logical point of view and trying to get them to seek counsel does not work very well.

But I will keep trying, thanks. :)
