Is there a questioning type of OCD? When I have a concern, I constantly question my spouse. Then as days, weeks, months or even years pass I get the uncontrolable urge to re-question just in case I forgot to ask something about the concern. Most of the time the questions revolve around "checking" to be sure I'm not being decieved or cheated on.
It is getting way out of hand and it is ruining my marriage. As a child I would confess thoughts, then that was replaced with repeated handwashing every time I touched something from our church, then that was replaced by counting rituals. When my spouse and I started dating I would confess unwanted thoughts to him and now it seems that the questioning thing has taken over.
When I ask the questions, I get the same kind of temporary relief that I would get from confessing thoughts as a child and hand washing.
Anyone out there who knows about this or can relate?
