Eating disorders involve extreme disturbances in eating behaviors—following rigid diets, gorging on food in secret, throwing up after meals, obsessively counting calories. But eating disorders are more complicated than just unhealthy dietary habits. At their core, eating disorders involve distorted, self-critical attitudes about weight, food, and body image. It’s these negative thoughts and feelings that fuel the damaging behaviors.
People with eating disorders use food to deal with uncomfortable or painful emotions. Restricting food is used to feel in control. Overeating temporarily soothes sadness, anger, or loneliness. Purging is used to combat feelings of helplessness and self-loathing. Over time, people with eating disorders lose the ability to see themselves objectively and obsessions over food and weight come to dominate everything else in life.

1. Take the feelings off the food -Food is Fuel -Talk about your feelings-do not eat over them.
2. No food or body talk - Do not talk about food or anything dealing with anyone's body during meals.
3. Stay with your food plan-it works for you -Get to know a registered dietitian and get a food plan.
4. You don't have to do anything with feelings just feel them -We have lots of feelings in one day. Remember to breathe and another feeling will come along. Get a certified professional who specializes in eating disorders.

This is a nice information.I know that due to eating disorder,u can face lots of physical disorder.Mainly acne is on top in this list.

I suffered from anorexia and bulimia for 3 years now and during the periods when I am unable to eat for weeks or months at a time I spend ages looking for reasons why I should eat and all the terrible consequences of what I do with my body. It takes time.

Eating three meals a day including breakfast, lunch and dinner is a good place to start. Some people prefer to eat five or six smaller meals each day. One being starved and ten being stuffed. Spend 15 minutes in silence and put your fork down after each bite.

You always makes your own schedule to eat and maintain it always by yourself. When you are hungry and you think this is the right time for eating anything for you and you are real hunger so this is just the perfect time to make a little bit and eat-carbs only once a week.So this type of habit gives good benefit for you.

Eating disorders arise due to lack of hunger and lack of interest. Develop the habit of eating only after you get hungry. Problems comes ad goes but it should not affect your diet plans. Stomach needs enough food to supply fuel for effective functioning of all the other body parts. Hence eating disorders if any should be analyzed and the reason why it occurs should be properly determined and changed.

1. You are not your weight - Get rid of the scale.
2. Gentle Eating - Begin your meal by closing your eyes and breathing slowly, noticing how you are feeling, Sad, Mad or glad? Locate your hunger on a scale of 1-10. One being starved and ten being stuffed. Spend 15 minutes in silence and put your fork down after each bite. When 15 minutes is completed, take time to stretch and breathe, locate your hunger again and then finish your meal.

Keep a food diary of what you eat and when you eat to help you focus on eating regularly. Also record any episodes without food for long periods of time, bingeing, or cleaning and thoughts and emotions you about them. If you can learn to recognize situations and feelings that lead you to take part in unhealthy eating behaviors that will help you figure out ways to combat them.
