Well for people who want to know more, here are the different types of dementia. Alzheimer's disease, Vascular dementia , Dementia pugilistica , Dementia with Lewy bodies there are alot more of them, but you can discuss different ones here. The most well know I think is Alzheimer's disease. I pretty much never heard of the other ones myself.

yes Alzheimer's disease is more common in aged peoples they tend to forget too much even in severe case the forget their relatives too..
i have seen in one of the movie film where due to Alzheimer's disease the wife even forgets that she is having a child in her womb....
is it so really?

Yes, you are right, Alzheimer's disease is the most known disease of the names you have mentioned. Dementia leads to Alzheimer's also is a news to me, i did not know this before. Thanks

well these all types are poetry for me...i am not aware of any of them....but i have started knowing what dementia actually is.....that is an achievement for me.....

i never heard about types such vascular or non vascular..
it affects brain ..so types are according to it.
cortical and subcortical..

Some doctors and researchers split dementia into two broad categories like,
1) Cortical dementias
2) Sub cortical dementias
