Hello
Chewing tobacco also known as smokeless tobacco is equally bad as smoking. It is a myth that chewing is not as harmful as smoking. Chewing tobacco is made of tobacco, nicotine, sweeteners and chemicals. The continuous chewing process gives a constant high to the person. This high leads gives temporary relief from stress and anxiety. Small temporary relief leads the person to use it frequently and before the person realizes he is addicted.

Chewing tobacco can be far worse than smoking cigarettes in terms of potential damage to the mouth and throat (there's fiberglass in several brands)

As well as the fact that there is a much larger amount of nicotine, the most addictive substance on earth, in a pinch of chewing tobacco than in a cigarette.
Nicotine has been shown to correlate with heart disease and other circulatory system issues

I have known individuals who would go to sleep at night with chewing tobacco in their mouths.

Also, the habit of having something in your mouth and spitting is relative to the smoker putting the cigarette to his or her mouth, another issue.

Although one will always remember the nicotine experience, the physical withdrawal period is only 72 hours. So, if you can make it through the 3 days of irritability, cravings, and even potential anxiety attacks you will be in much better position to maintain abstinence in the long term.
