Hello everyone. My wife was recently diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and cannot work. She unfortunately has been having problems over the last few years and never earned more than $2000/year and has only worked 4 years anyways as she is only 25. Because of this, she does not qualify for SSDI. I make about $34,000 which, I believe, makes her ineligible for SSI. We live in a high cost of living area in southern California. What help is there for us? I can barely makes ends meet and I love my wife dearly.
