Disclaimer: I have used neither marijuana or alcohol. I never plan to use marijuana, but I'll probably have a drink here and there when I am old enough.

Which is worse: marijuana or alcohol? Both of them cause you to be in a state where you have a weakened decision making process, causing you to do stupid things. Which is actually worse for your body?

It is good question. Alcohol is more acceptable in social situations but marijuana is not. Alcohol if you drink too much for long time can damage your body organs such as liver , brain etc... I will tend to say alcohol might be more dangerous. But it largely depends on individual basis.

Your feelings on the comparison of the two are similar to mine, I think that marijuana is worse. If this is the case, why is marijuana illegal and alcohol legal?

I can see why tobacco is legal but marijuana is not - tobacco, in no way, impairs the user. From what friends that have smoked marijuana have said about the experience, marijuana just makes you laugh about EVERYTHING. The effects of alcohol seem to be much worse: falling on the floor and vomiting.

I don't know what's wrong with people these days. I'm sure they have their own problems, but none of those problems can be solved by doing drugs or alchocol. I myself I'm proud to say that I neither drink nor do I do anykind of drugs.

Yeah. Some uses the drugs and alcohol to escape from reality. But they ignore the fact that these can be very much harmful.

Marijuana is something which is socially not at all acceptable. Alcohol too is a taboo, but not as much as marijuana is, but both these are avoidable habits if checked in initial stages, but very hard to escape from these two when in addiction.

Marijuana is ilegal and there are many reasons why.
It is too dangerious.
Dont forget the fact that it's expensive.
Therefor, Marijuana is worse.

I think both are dangerous...but if we want to pick one amongst the two then obviously i would go for alcohol as it is lesser harmful for our health and we get addicted to it very lately....

Alcohol is deadly; marijuana is not. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 20,000 Americans die every year as the direct result of alcohol consumption.

Alcohol is alcohol, marijuana is drugs. First of all, it's much easier to get addicted to marijuania than to alcohol. People dieing from alcohol more than from marijuana, because alcohol is used n times more than marijuana.

It's been proven scientifically that, if consumed in excess, alcohol is WAY more dangerous than marijuana. There is no such thing as "an overdose of marijuana", you simply fall asleep if you've smoked too much. On the other hand, an OD on alcohol can lead to death. Weed is still illegal because it is associated with heavier drugs and, if it became legal, a whole lot of people would be likely to switch to heavier drugs.
