I think my little 13 year old sister has eating disorders. She never eats much at all and if you ask if she is hungury she says no i'm fine and at super she pushes her food around to make it look like she ate a lot. Once I watched her the hole time through dinner and she only took 3 bites. Also she always is saying how she ways so much and how fat she is. She seems to exercise a lot also.

Sometimes your feeling effects the eating.
You should watch your sister carefully, if this continues, talk to her and explain how dangerious it is.

Unfortunately girls fantasize being skinny, they are very starry eyed, they watch lots of tv and start to develop a habit of starving themselves. This leads to eating disorders and also problems. Only near ones like you can advise her against this dangerous practices.

well i have never heard of eating disorder earlier but only thing i can say in your case is that your sister may be under impression that she is too fat and is trying to cut on her diet for health reasons. people usually do it and make excuses just to avoid questioning.

It could be that it's not an eating disorder, she is only obsessed with the way she looks and she wants to lose weight. What she tells you is probably because she doesn't feel confident with discussing these with you guys. Try to talk to her before things get serious.

Some of the signs of Eating Disorder are:

Sensitivity to cold
Denial of weight loss
Feeling of guilt or shame
Mental confusion

If you find some of this behavior in your sister then she needs immediate help. You should seek some professional guidance for her treatment. I found an online resource at http://www.eatingdisorder.com/eating-disorders-treatment.html (http://www.eatingdisorder.com/eating-disorders-treatment.html?utm_source=forum&utm_medium=pv&utm_campaign=eatingdisordertreatment) . As per your description i believe that your sister is surely suffering from eating disorder. At the young age of 13, she needs to take nutritious food that can develop her body and provide necessary nutrients.Watch her food habits for few days and if it continues then talk to her or your parents as it may cause health problems in future.Tell her to take balanced diet in her routine that will keep her healthy and also exercise is also good to keep your body fit.

It can be tricky to identify eating disorders, because people with eating disorders are often very secretive, attempting to conceal their activities from concerned friends and family members, along with others. There are some warning signs, however, which could indicate that someone is suffering from an eating disorder, and if since you have noticed these signs of eating disorders in your kid sister, you know, have to talk to her about it. Be aware, however, that eating disorders are very complex, emotional topics, and even if you mean well, you may meet with some resistance when you try to help.

Someone with an eating disorder may wear loose, baggy clothing to cover up weight loss. Frequent trips to the bathroom are also not uncommon, and you may also notice obsessive behaviors. While any individual symptom from the list above can be a cause for concern, it is especially pressing if you notice several signs of eating disorders. In addition to being potentially deadly, eating disorders can also cause long-term physical harm.

I am suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) disease.
Can anyone tell me about Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) treatment?
Is this is due to eating habit.
What I have to make changes in my regular diet?

There are many reasons due to that your sister not eating enough.
1. First of all ask her that what are things she likes in lunch and dinner because it can be possible that you don't have these stuff in your food.
2. Then cook some food which is her favorite and then observe that how much is eating.
3. There are many syrup available in the market which can start to feel hungry.
4. If still is the problem then please then consult with a doctor.

Anorexia Nervosa is a "weight loss" method. Weight loss is achieved through a variety of methods including severe caloric restriction, fasting, relentless exercising, use of over-the-counter and prescription diet aids, diuretic and laxative use, and in some cases, self-induced vomiting. Most individuals suffering from anorexia nervosa strongly deny the disorder. They often "feel fat" even when emaciated. Anorexics experience a sense of control by restricting food intake and often turn away from food in an attempt to cope with life's stresses.

You can feel that you have eating disorders immediately after apparent weight loss. So symptoms of eating disorders are

Rapid fluctuations in weight.
Avoiding meals at times.
Eating only certain types of food.

Such symptoms if found should be rectified because weight loss invites serious diseases. So try following a balanced diet.
