junk food can be very unhealthy to a persons body. when one eats too much junk food, the gain lots of calories and become overweight. ways of staying away from having too much are to have a balanced diet and eat junk food about once a week. some kinds of junk food are: hamburgers, burgers, potato chips, fries, and oily food. junk foods have very little nutrition

Yes, people get overweight of junk food, but this is just a little problem of it and, also, it's avoilable.
Junk food is kind of addicted food(sounds stupid?), scientist discovered this thing years ago. I read much literature of it and, also, I saw a film about this kind of "ilness". Sorry, but I don't remember it at the moment.
By eatin junk foods many people are led to many problems such as obesity,low blood pressure,tiredness,etc.So,its better to avoid junk foods and better prefer foods that are made in our home.

I am into junk foods these months and i gain weight a lot. I just can't stop eating those stuffs. Please help me. My boyfriend spoils me of those stuffs
Try having other stuffs other than chips and cheetos.
Treat yourself to a cup of yogurt or fresh fruits.

Junk food has its own disadvantages and advantages... this type of food are meant for some urgent hunger or substitute of minor meal.. but yeah if you adopt it for your day to day routine then it may cause number of problems like blood pressure, obesity, malnutrition etc

Junk food is very injurious to health if taken on regular basis because it basically contains various types of ingredients and sauces also containing chemicals.The fast food also contains bread items and its regular intake may cause stomach problems.The regular intake will certainly cause eating disorder.So i advise you to minimise the consumption of the junk food.Junk food may also result in cancer.So take balanced diet regularly and stay fit.

It’s becoming a weighty problem. Junk food is doing a lot of harm to school children and young people as it is rich in calories and low on fiber content, which is necessary in a balanced diet. Junk food contains high fat and sodium (salt) content. It has empty calories which need to be burned out otherwise they deposit as fat in the body. Too much consumption of junk food leads to health problems mainly obesity in children.

Listed below are some important health complications caused due to sumptuous consumption of junk food.
Lack of energy:
Junk foods do not contain any nutrients that are beneficial to the human body. In most cases, these foods are filled with harmful carbohydrates, fats and cholesterol that do not provide any useful energy. As a result, somebody consuming junk food has reduced level of essential nutrients thereby causing weakness in the body.
Poor Concentration:
One disadvantage of consuming junk food is that it contains high amount of oil and fat. As a result, human body finds this food difficult to digest and needs to spend high amount of blood and enzymes. When a person consumes junk food in excess, a major portion of blood in the body is diverted to the intestine. As a result, the person feels drowsy and suffers with reduced concentration.
Heart Diseases:
Junk foods have been identified as a major cause of heart diseases including myocardial infraction, cardiac arrest and atherosclerosis. This is due to the fact that junk food contains excessive amount of low-density lipoproteins and cholesterol that get deposited on the inner linings of blood vessels. This result in formation of plaques and the heart is required to put an extra effort for pumping blood through the arteries. Presence of fat in the blood also causes reduced oxygen levels. Another harmful factor present in junk foods is excess concentration of sugars and salt. Excessive concentration of sodium ions causes an increased heart blood pressure.
Liver Failure:
Even liver gets damaged due to presence of ingredients such as fat, cholesterol and salt inside the junk foods.
Diabetes:
Junk foods also cause damage to the pancreas resulting in insulin-dependant diabetes mellitus (IDDM).

If you manage to keep your calorie intake down, you still shouldn't eat too much junk food. Personally, I believe once per week is too much. Fat food is bad for your cholesterol, and may lead to diceases in return, for example cardiovascular diseases. This is, according to many researches, one of the most common reasons of humans dying in modern time.

Well even Junk foods don't have the guts to catch up the weight over me..lolz :).I eat hell a lot of Junk food but i'm too lean.I used to eat it to gain weight but its not working for me.I don't know the reason at all :(.I donno wats the problem with me some one suggest me a good idea to catch up good weight :)

Instead of an establishing an outright ban, try allowing your kids make their own choices sometimes. This doesn't mean that a parent can't set a limit on junk food, it just means that you can strike a compromise. Doing so will help teach your children how set appropriate limits for themselves. Parents can use these tips to help them start thinking of new ways to let kids make food decisions of their own.
1) Limit soda to one night per week. All the other kids get to have it in their lunches. It is supposed to come with their kiddie combo meals at drive through restaurants. It is sugary and fizzy and bubbly and fun. And kids want it. When you tell your child that they can't have soda, ever, you aren't teaching them how to make responsible, healthy decisions for themselves. Instead of never giving them a choice in the matter, make them think you are handing control of their own diets over to them. Allow soda in the house one night out of the week, but let the child choose which night they want to have it. Only put enough soda cans in the refrigerator so that there is only enough for each person in the family to have one. If you have more left over, store them in a cabinet or in a garage so they won't be ready to drink. This will also help you keep track of who has already had soda so your kids can't trick you into having an extra.
2) Don't make the school cafeteria food strictly off-limits. The best thing you can do for your child is t pack them a healthy lunch to take with them to school. But sometimes, that lunchbox look pretty boring compared to burger day at the school cafeteria. Don't keep your kids from the things they want, just limit how often they can have them. Allow them to eat cafeteria food one day out of the week, say every Monday when you don't feel like going to the trouble of making lunches, or every Friday to get them excited about the weekend. If once a week is a little too often for your liking, get a copy of the school's monthly lunch menu and let the kids agree on which two or three days the cafeteria is serving food they would like to eat.

Junk food contains a lot of saturated fat. Sometimes it is made with contaminated ingredients. Vitamins and minerals are not found in junk food. Eating junk food causes weight gain.

Try to get your family and friends to participate. Maybe try asking them to make candy with you when they see you with them. If this leads to hide and eat, and you continue to pack on pounds, you might consider professional help. You can become addicted.
