View Full Version : How long does dementia take to stop all signals and end a life?

I know there's no set timetable, but at least some averages would help. I'd like to think of dementia's onset as similar to a plane beginning its descent, but we don't know if it's coming down from 20,000 feet or 60,000 feet. We're just beginning to cope with my father having this condition.

i think it can be from ms to large units of time...you cann't give assurance over this...but as your cells starts decaying whole of this system starts elasping....so it can occur to anyone in any age....

It depends on indivual and also depends on how severe dementia is at the time of diagnosis.

On average, people with dementia may live around 7 to 10 years after diagnosis.

its depend on the person some people live aroung 15 year and some no more than 1 year

its depend how the person control it by mental seticfication

its depend upon cause..
some are spontanous such as stroke and cause stopping all signals..
and in Alzheimer's ..there is progressive dementia may take 5 to 20 years..
