Is obssesion a symptom of depression?

many People can't get over the fact that they are going to die. they don't want to live forever either. But they just can't get over the idea that they might drop dead any minute.
they are not afraid of being dead, either

Any thoughts?

Huh? I've never seen anyone actually depressed with the fact that they're going to die, what on earth are you talking about? Unless it's some 80yo old lady who just has to learn to accept that fact. But all old people I came across felt confident with this. I really don't get your point.

well its also a severe cause....many people have gone through with this...love failures in their personal life.....obssesion for a particular thing might cause a big problem in the coming future as you try to get that thing by anyhow.....which will completely disturb your entire life....

i have never seen people who are afraid of death.. because this is fact of life
and even oldies try to enjoy at their fullest.. if you see people like that , try to teach them that they have so many days so try to live happy.

yeah i also have seen such people who are afraid of death.Mainly who are suffering from fatal disease like cancer,Aids etc .But according to me fear of losing our near and dear ones is more than that of death itself

obsession of anything can lead to some serious actions in the future....so you should avoid excess of everything....obsession towards a thing can change your attitude towards the other things also which creates disturbance in your life...
