Hi guys, I am in high school right now and I go on foot to attend my school everyday. While returning at afternoon, I feel quite hungry and almost every day, I buy some 'junk' to eat like chips or chocolates, ice cream, burger and so on.
The point is I go to play everyday in evening and I walk around 1-2 kms also(includes the walking to school). So that makes the adequate exercise i need everyday.
So, here is my question- Will I have problems, diseases relating to over-eating/eating junk food even after burning out those extra calories?

well i am no doctor but i think that after these exercises, ya might burn out the fat you gained after munching the junk food but regular intake also has effect on the organs..
chips are fried in oil and it is hard to digest.also oil has effect on the heart. so i would advice you to drink some natural juice which is a good way to fill your tummy and at the same time is healthy..

So there's no harm in eating almost regular packets of chips with natural juices, water and lots of exercise in your opinion?

Sure it is, mate. Chips aren't only calories, it have thing that just can't be moved out of your organism. There is no matter how much you exercise, point is there, that you just CAN'T eat chips regulary.

There are some effects,if you eat junk food regurarly:-
your teeth will be dirty,your digestive system will get a little hurt, you probably won't get essential nutrients besides protein and calcium but you won't get fat as your burning the calories daily!

Ok. I get it now. I think I need to just control my temptation and pocket money as well ;). But then since I've to walk so much and i feel hungry, what shall i eat when I'm on the way?? :confused: I need something to eat, which is readily available.

Chips are my faviourate too
but keep your tempation aside or you will be in trouble in future
or your digestive system will get a little hurt
Exercise alone will not work out

I have this misconception of not getting fat if i eat JUNK foods. i wish someday there will be a real JUNK food that will not get you fat. The taste of those yummy chips is the same of those i dream of. And the price as well is the same.

Or, could you guys advice me of what is the best thing to do.. thank you..

Hey mate,

i guess you are doing right but try to avoid junk food and you did not mention that you take other nutritious items or not coz if you are surviving on junk food only then running walking and other exercise will not do anything..

Well try to not to buy junk food everyone. Instead of buying junk food, buy fruit, or granola bars ect. even though you are walking and such every day, it still does not get rid of the the bad chemicals, fats and sugars, etc. Cut down on the junk food.

I think junk foods are such things which make us addicted more than drugs. If yyou increase their consumption then it might affect your diet because you will avoid always health food as most of the time you are taking junk food.

It is good that you daily do exercise to keep yourself fit. But i feel that junk food is harmful to human body. Taking junk food occasionally do not create any problems but as you say that you take it frequently surely damages your body parts. Junk food contains not only fat but there are other chemicals too that affect the body cells.So try to take nutritious food to your school & continue with your exercise routine.

i think you must atleast reduce the intake to alternate days.. you ll face problems after 40years.. and exercise is very important..do cycling everyday
