Parents sometimes fail to realize that their children have grown up. I know the case of a 25yo guy who is still "baby-sit" (is that a word? lol) by his parents. They insist that he should live with them, check everything he does, every single step, ask him to be home by 10PM and stuff like that.
When is the right age to realize that your son is a grown man?
I guess by the time the child reaches college level, parents should understand that they are not kids any more. I am sure when a person reaches his college level he would have gained some knowledge of what to do and what not to.
But still, as a parent it is always better to have an eye on them, this may even help the child if he is in trouble. We got to know parents know about the world much better than us.

I know some parents are "Overprotective" to their children. Some parents see their sons or daughters as children no matter how old they are. I have seen 85 years lady treating 60 years old man as a child.

The age os different for most kids. I guess the parent would be able to tell about their child by exhibiting their behaviour. Or a parent could even ask them what's goind on.

well if the child has lived his life in a protected environment, it might be a problem for him to survive himself in the future...so the parents must take care of these type of things....after 20 year parents need to change the attitude of their children towards life so that the child can see the life from hios point of view rather than his parents point of view...

The person is no more a child as he becomes an adult at the age of 18 years and he understands his responsibilities well.Parents need to leave him alone and give him freedom to work but just having an eye on him.Parents can be the best friend in their child's life and guide them in their life.Parents need to understand their child and help them in achieving the highest glory to feel proud.

the rite actually depends on the child.. some it is 16 and for some it is 19.. but the best is 17 for any child.. some grow faster mentally.. in that case 14 is also good..

There is no fixed age for the parents to realise the transition of child to man.It all depends on the mental capacity of the children and physical appearance. Some Children may look broad but they might be mentally week and some may physically week and mentally strong. It depends on the parents and how they take it.
