hi
Dyslexia is a learning disability, due to which a person has difficulty in reading and writing. Dyslexia does not mean that the person is not intellectual, he can even be highly intelligent and have high IQ. All that matters is that how the brain differentiates reading and spoken language.
There are different kinds of dyslexia. In one type the person with disability does not have problem in reading words that are commonly used by them, but irregular words makes the job tougher. Some have problem with relating sounds to their respective syllables.

Dyslexia is reading problem. The children find it difficult to read what they have written. Dyslexia is characterised by the difficulty of brain in separating and processing written and verbal language. These children find it difficult to learn spelling and to read fluently. They also confuse between similar looking letters like b, d, p, q, etc. They also tend to skip letters, words or sentences while reading.

Individuals with dyslexia also tend to have trouble in areas of study that pertain to math. There is a form of dyslexia that almost solely deals with the confusion of numbers.

Dyslexia may affect several different functions. Visual dyslexia is characterized by number and letter reversals and the inability to write symbols in the correct sequence. Auditory dyslexia involves difficulty with sounds of letters or groups of letters. The sounds are perceived as jumbled or not heard correctly. "Dystrophic" refers to the child's difficulty holding and controlling a pencil so that the correct markings can be made on the paper. Dyslexia does not mean that the person is not intellectual, he can even be highly intelligent and have high IQ. All that matters is that how the brain differentiates reading and spoken language.
