Can anyone tell me something about short term memor loss.

I have recently watched one bollywood movie "Gajjni". In this movie the main hero has the same problem of short term memory loss and he forgets after every 15 minutes about all activities which he has done just befor 15 minutes. Is it a real disease and if you know then I am really interested to know.

It might be due to a number of conditions.

e.g. epilepsy, and another condition called dissociative amnesia where people develop short term memory loss due to some stressful event in their life.

I think you have put down the right point because movie has also been linked with one event which was haapened with character and he lost his girlfriend in the accident.
