Well there are many articles available on net but the main thing that should be kept in mind is that the person suffering from excessive depression due to some personal reasons needs to be taken care of very gently....A person who lives alone has the maximum chances of exhibiting this type of depression....

I didn't know much about the cause for mental depression... but this is due to continues think about any activity or some bad done to you... I have tried ginseng drink to tackle with this problem...:) this is really useful with meditation...
This is also difficult for me to understand how a health drink:rolleyes: can prevent from depression. But this is true it is herbal drink made of ginger and ginseng:o

You're not just grappling with depressive symptomatically, but also likely struggling with denial and shame; one must admit that will power is not sufficient. This can be particularly confusing with moderate chronic depression. In the past you were able to get yourself out of your depressive box or cave. Alas, as we age, ongoing stress can impair the effectiveness of our biochemical and hormonal systems.

3. Acknowledge Shame and Ignorance. Too many people associate depression with cocooning under covers for hours on end or covering up through various addictive tendencies – compulsive eating, drinking and sexing, TV watching, video game playing, out of control shopping, etc. And, in fact, these may be accurate warning signs. However, many Type A achievers also struggle with depression.

As depression can have many causes, it is sometimes divided into three broad groups - psychological, physical and social.

1.Psychological - this is where a stressful or upsetting life event causes a persistent low mood, low self-esteem and feelings of hopelessness about the future.
2.Physical or chemical - depression is caused by changes in levels of chemicals in the brain. For example, your mood can change as hormone levels go up and down. This is often seen in women as it is associated with the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth and the menopause.
3.Social - doing fewer activities or having fewer interests can cause depression, or may happen because of depression.

Depression is one of the Biggest and the Common problem of the so many human beings.I has so many Causes like If you are not mentally stable or you have so many tensions on your Mind so that you can not getting the ideas that what you want to do.Its all about the Mental Status.From that sometimes you can do the things properly in your Life or you are upset in your Life.To prevent it you can get help from the Yoga and the meditations.Also be happy always and take a sufficient Sleep daily.
