I have depression and anxiety.

Lately however I have noticed that I am not seeing things as they are. I have unwanted thoughts about my friends hating me/being mad at me/hurting because of me, and at times I am completely convinced it is true, only to find out that it was far from the truth. It is not simply a misunderstanding, it is me, and it has been happening a lot, much more frequently lately.

I was wondering if this was another disorder I might have and I should ask my therapist/psychiatrist about it? What disorder do you think it might be?

If you have depressive disorder, you may develop what we called negative cognition. I mean you would have more negative thoughts about yourself, about other people and your future. It is called negative cognitive triad and you might feel hopeless about future. You may think you are a failure and we might believe other people including your friends and your family members don't like you, hate you etc....

If you have a clinical depression and if it is severe enough, you might need antidepressant medication or cognitive behaviour therapy to help your negative thinking or both. I think you better consult with your therapist or psychiatrist.
