blood phobia

blood phobia is fear of blood.
the person get frightend on seeing blood.
he has fear on seeing his own or others blood.
such person do not allow to have an injection,blood transfusion etc.
so are there any people having such phobia?
please post your experiences here.

No i havent had any experience, but what kind of fear? Do you get scared, because i mean many people are scared of many things...Is it like intense fear or what?

I know in movies they show these things. I think that patient should be made accustomed to seeing red water, so that he does not feel the same again. The more he sees red water, i think he will forget being in fear.

Yes, maybe getting used to it, if you train with the patient, than it might work. I really think that this is just a tampering with the patients brain. It might be possible to reverse it.

Fear of blood? Well I don't think you have to have the specific phobia mentioned to be afraid of blood. I mean people who don't have the phobia like myself are afraid to bleed and see their blood. Lol everytime I see someone donate blood or when I see the doctor take my blood I turn as pale as a ghost.

Well, i hav to admit. If i look at blood, i cant exactley call it a pleasent sight. But im not scared of it in that way as the phobia recalls.

Lol than I probably might be a little blood phobic myself. I just can't stand the sight of blood. Good thing I don't see it alot. Maybe once or twice a year. Even when I go to the doctor to get my blood taken I don't want to look at the process.

This is a really strange phobia i have met people who are phobic and i whent to the NHS give blood with one person and they were screaming when they saw my blood going out of me,

I was laughing at her whilst watching a pint of blood drip out my arm i can understand though bloods suposed to stay in the body

Blood isnt supposed to stay in the body...If you want it to than yes...but if you cut yourself it could easily break through.

True ! but still it was funny i think it is just because people cant think of whats on the inside i mean warm red stuff everywhere isnt nice, maybe people get these disorders from past experiences IE: a really really bad cut or a bone sticking out leg,

Man, thats why i mean if you see a dead body, wouldn't you creep out?

ya most of us creep out on seeing dead bodies..
most of the medical student creep out on seeing their first operation..
me to suffered on my first operation theater visit...

Every time someone talks about an accident involving blood, or if i see blood, or even if someone brings it up.. my legs start to feel really weak and I feel really nauseous, I have to leave the room or where ever I am and like, stop thinking about it and eck.. I can't even talk about it. Would you call that a phobia? Or is that something different?

No i do not hear about the blood phobia. in future if i face this problem then first if will go to the my family doctor to check up my blood as soon as possible.
