Assignment on personality disorders

Can anyone help me I am completeing an assignment on personality disorders and there is a question that I seem to have a mental block with. Any pointers would be great. The question is:
" Why would some mental health professionals have such a negative opinion of people diagnosed with personality disorders?"

Can anyone help me I am completeing an assignment on personality disorders and there is a question that I seem to have a mental block with. Any pointers would be great. The question is:
" Why would some mental health professionals have such a negative opinion of people diagnosed with personality disorders?"

I suppose one reason could be because they have seen people faking mental illness to either get attention, avoid more dire consequences with the law or to get a check for the government for being disabled.

Those that fake illness make it hard for those who really have problems to be taken seriously and get the proper care.
